Eventually realising I’m going the wrong way I make my way up Route 111 where I’m interviewed by the press. I eventually get lost and decide to travel up the Fiery Path where I catch Torkoal. The region contains nine cities and six towns along with different geographical locations, all of which are connected by Routes. As in previous games, some areas are only accessible once the player fulfils a certain condition. Like other Pokémon games, Ruby and Sapphire’s game play is linear; the main events occur in a fixed order. The protagonist of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire is a child who has recently moved to Littleroot Town. During their Spring Break twin sisters Melanie & Allyson Porter (Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen) get a surprise from their parents! It’s a trip to travel to Paris to visit their Grandpa Edward, the US Ambassador to France. Expecting a great time with their grandfather, they instead end up with his no-nonsense assistant, Jeremy Bluff, chaperoning them. While there, they befriend Brigitte, a beautiful French fashion model (with whom they later set Jeremy up on a date), and fall for two charming French boys named Jean and Michel. The girls find various ways to ditch Jeremy, so they can spend time cruising around the city on mopeds with the boys. Will the girls see Jean and Michel again? Will Jeremy & Brigitte start to date?
